Step into Spring in style in pastels...

Student Stylista, Megan Hunt, shares her tips on this season's hottest colour...

With candy and ice-cream colours being such a huge influence on March’s high street, here are some fabulous and easy ways to add a soft and girly touch to your wardrobe for spring.

Add a hint of candyfloss pink to your outfit with this pretty bow hair band from New Look for £4-00. Wear with peg leg trousers and a blouse for a smarter look or floaty dresses for spring evenings.

This feminine ruffle clutch from River Island for £29.99 is a perfect size and will add a splash of colour to any outfit. Pastel accessories are very popular this season, with H&M, Next and River Island offering a chic range of corsage headbands, pearls, girly tights and brooches to add some glam to simple outfits.

Keeping with the pastel theme, Miss Selfridge at Outfit has a great selection of coats, dresses, accessories, shoes and bags in the sickly sweet colours of the season. This baby blue coat is so elegant and will look fabulous with jeans for a day out shopping, or with a dress for the evening.

 

With military being another high street trend this month, why not combine the two trends together? Pairing pretty palettes with more masculine styled clothes will make a cool contrast.
