The Veronica's release album from down under

Already the biggest name in new Australian pop and now based in Los Angeles, 24 year-old twin sisters Lisa and Jessica Origliasso, better known as The Veronicas, release their hit album 'Hook Me Up' in the UK on 21 September 2009.

Both 'Hook Me Up' and the debut album 'The Secret Life Of…' have hit number two on the Australian album charts and reached multi-Platinum status in the process.

The duo already have one number one single and a further four top five hits to their name as well as an ARIA Music Award (Australia's equivalent to a Brit or Grammy) and three MTV Australia Awards. They've also toured alongside the Jonas Brothers and Katy Perry.

'Hook Me Up' finds The Veronicas moving away from the pop-punk sound of 'The Secret Life Of...' and moving towards a more sophisticated electro-pop feel imbued with the twins' signature vocal harmonies and immediately infectious melodies.

The album features collaborations with producers Toby Gad, worked with Beyoncé and Fergie, Billy Steinberg, who’s worked with Madonna, and Shelly Peiken who has worked with Christina Aguilera.

The Veronicas present an energetic set of techno-rock. Standout tracks on this keyboard-driven affair, which often recalls the synth-pop sound of the Russian act T.A.T.U, include the hedonistic title tune and the pulsing, industrial-tinged number ‘This Is How It Feels.’
